The Adventure Continues – Hope For Europe 2019

And we’re off!

Well, we are three weeks into YWAM Austria’s 2019 DTS, “Hope For Europe!” Last DTS I put way too much pressure on myself to write a novel in each blog post, so this time around, things will be simpler…otherwise I will lose the rest of my mind. I am so excited and honored to be leading this DTS and to have such incredible staff working with me. And the students! The students are magnificent. We have Nathalie and Martin, a married couple from Denmark, Alexa from Michigan, Rebekah from Texas, Andrew from Washington, and Evan from North Carolina. All are under 30, and all are talented, bright, passionate, and downright hilarious. I can’t help but feel joy when in a room with them. Lucky me!! We started DTS off with a welcome dinner and worship session. Then the staff and I set up the classroom, and the next day we were ready to roll! (Note: An Austrian 21-year-old named Clemens also joined us for the first two weeks, along with a long-time friend of YWAM Axel who graciously translated the lessons to German for him.)

Week One: Discipleship (Bruce Clewett)

All about what it means to lay down our rights and follow in Christ’s footsteps daily.

Week Two: The Bible (Dr. Phil Roberts ft. Dr. Radu Gheorghita)

Everything you want to know about the Bible—history, organization, credibility, contributors, purpose, hermeneutics, exegesis, memorization, application, and more.

Week Three: Father-Heart of God (Natio Gomes Scherr Stahl)

Focused on God’s role as a father, how His parenting differs from that of our earthly fathers, how He heals our wounds, what that means for us as His children, and how we should respond to His unconditional love.

And one of the best parts of DTS…kids!!! 😍

Also, in case you didn’t notice or aren’t following my every move on social media…I have a new beau.

His name is Sebastian, but he goes by his nickname, which is pronounced as something along the lines of “see-bee.” Contrary to popular belief, that’s spelled “Sebi,” not “CB.” Austrian, born and raised. Age 21. Biomedical Engineering student. Solid Christian. I’m a big fan. Five stars on Yelp. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

That’s all for now…a huge thank you to my supporters! Your financial help, prayers, and love mean the world to me. Stay tuned! ❤️
